Service Information

We offer weekly residential trash pick up starting at $32.00 a month. We will pick up normal residential waste and up to 20 bags of yard waste per month at no extra charge. We do ask that if you have any tree limbs that they be cut down to 5 feet or shorter in length. If you have construction waste or larger, heavier items such as appliances or furniture we ask that you call in advance of your normal pick up day so we are aware and to discuss possible extra charges based on weight. We cannot pick up any hazardous items such as paint, oil, or tires.

Billing and Payment Information

Quarterly Residential Billing

At Average Joes Trash, residential bills are sent out on a quarterly cycle. You will receive a bill once every 3 months.

Bill Payment options

We provide multiple options for paying your bill. Checks are welcome by mail or you can drop them by our business lot at 615 South 6th in Manhattan; You can pay online or set up autopay at trashbilling.com using your card or checking account; or you are always welcome to call and pay over the phone.

Billing Due Dates

Bills are sent out on the 15th of the month before your quarterly bill is due. The bill will be due on the 15th of the first month of your billing cycle. After the due date, the system will flag your account as past due, add a $5.00 late fee, and remove your address from the route until the account is current.

Snow Delays the week of January 6th 2025

Due to the extreme cold which is keeping trucks from running, road conditions that are making it unsafe for both our staff and the public, and the county transfer station being closed we will be unable to resume any routes this week . We will pick up again starting next Monday which will allow road crews time to get snow cleared and "warmer" temperatures to get trucks running again. We understand you will have more trash than usual next week and we will remove it all for you when we come. Please be sure that you place your cans where we can access them, we will not be able to dig cans or dumpsters out of snow banks. We appreciate your understanding. Please stay safe and warm!
